gfsview software package provides graphical viewer for Gerris simulation files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gfsview
gfsview is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gfsview package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfsview *
You will get with gfsview package name, version, architecture and description in a table
